Description

The Iron Bridge, constructed in 1834, is supported by cast-iron shafted piers that hold joists from which six rows of arched girders extend to carry the road. The outer rows of girders feature quatrefoil piercings. At road level, there are cast iron balustrades designed in a Gothic style, which include lamp standards. The bridge was designed and made by Russell and Brown of Worcester. All the listed buildings in Iron Bridge are part of a group.
