Description

No 24 on West Street is a 20th-century building that was moved to its current location and restored in 1961. It features exposed timber framing with plaster infill, although it has been very modernized. The back wall is rendered, and the side wall is corbelled forward at each floor level. There is a deep overhang on the first floor supported by moulded oak brackets. The building has new windows facing West Street, a modern shop front, and an oriel window on the east end. The roof is made of modern slate. No 24 is part of a group of listed buildings that includes the Church of St Mary Steps, Nos 5 and 7 West Street, and all listed buildings in Stepcote Hill.
