Description

George's Chapel is a Unitarian Chapel built in 1760. It has two storeys and three windows on the front, which is made of red brick with stone quoins and architraves. The building features a Tuscan portico and a swept parapet above a modillion cornice. The side elevation has four windows, with segmental heads below and round heads above. The roof is hipped and covered with slate. Inside, there is a gallery supported by fluted Ionic columns, an 18th-century pulpit with a canopy carved with drapery, and an 18th-century clock. The chapel is of special interest as it remains unaltered from the 18th century.
