Description

Nos. 9 to 12, Lower North Street are a range of three-storey houses with attics, likely dating from the late 18th century and built stepped down-hill. Originally brick, the frontages were later stuccoed. The windows are sash windows, lacking glazing bars. The building features large square brick chimneys and gabled dormers. Early and mid-19th century shop fronts are present. Slate roofs cover the structure. No. 9 has an insurance plaque affixed to its facade. These buildings contribute to the group value of the listed buildings of Lower North Street.
