Description
The Skinner chest tomb, dated 1671, is located approximately 1.5 metres east of the chancel of the Church of St Mary. This rectangular chest tomb is made of beerstone ashlar. It features a flat lid with a hollow-chamfered soffit, while any plinth is buried. The southern long side of the tomb is inscribed with Roman serif capitals, commemorating the death of Richard Skinner in 1671.
