Description
North Mill House is a house dating from the early 17th century. It is constructed of small stone rubble and features a thatched hipped roof. The building has two storeys and a three-window range, with a one-bay outbuilding at the west end that has a plastered first floor. The windows are two and three light casements with glazing bars. There is a central doorway with a cambered head, a plank door, and a modern porch. At the rear, there is a short wing under a hipped roof and an outshut with a tiled roof.
Inside, the house has a large open fireplace with a massive chamfered timber bressummer that extends over an opening to the side with an arched head. The stone beside the fireplace is carved with the dates 1625 and 1630.
