Description

A range of farm buildings dating from the mid-19th century, situated 6 metres north-west of the south-west end of Newhall Farmhouse. The buildings are constructed from coursed volcanic trap rubble with a dry-slate gabled-end roof. They are two storeys high. The front elevation features three axial louvred ventilation turrets with tent-shaped lead roofs, and four upper 3-light openings. There is a hayloft door above a ground-floor entrance, though the ground-floor openings are currently obscured by a prefabricated farm office. Two entrances to the hayloft are located at the ends of the building, featuring a timber lifting beam and plank doors. The farm buildings form part of a group arranged around three sides of a farmyard, with Newhall Farmhouse completing the fourth side.
