Description
Danes Mill Bridge is a road bridge that spans the River Tale, built in the 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from local stone rubble, with square blocks used for the voussoirs, and features 20th-century concrete coping. The bridge has two spans with small elliptical arches that spring from low vertical abutments. The central pier includes pointed cutwaters that rise only a short distance. The sides of the bridge rise to a plain parapet that is uninterrupted, featuring rounded coping and ramps that descend at each end. On the upstream side, the parapet turns outward.
