Description
Nos 95 to 99 on High Street are a notable group of buildings located at the corner of Church Street. Nos 95 and 97 are likely from the 18th century and have been altered. They are three stories tall with an attic, featuring casement dormers and flush frame sash windows on the upper floors, with glazing bars still visible on No 97. No 97 has a canted bay window on the first floor and a 19th-century wooden shop front. No 99, which may date from the 18th or early 19th century, is also three stories high and has flush frame sash windows with glazing bars on the second floor, a canted bay window on the first floor, and a 19th-century wooden shop front with pilasters and roughcast. There is an entrance on the west side with a fanlight and a sash window with an exposed frame and glazing bars on the first and second floors. Together with Nos 73 to 101 and Allhallows Chapel, these buildings form a cohesive group.
