PLYMTREE PLYMTREE ST 00 SE 3/148 Poller Chest tomb appoximately 1.5 - metres north of the nave of the Church of St John GV II

Chest tomb. Probably C17, in memory of William Poller. Volcanic ashlar. Chest tomb is rectangular in plan with plain sides. Any plinth is buried. It has an unusually thick flat lid, its soffit is richly-moulded. The lid is inscribed with Roman serif upper and lower case lettering. It records tne death of William Poller but the date has worn away.
