Description
There are two chest tombs located about 15 metres southeast of the Church of St Nicholas, dating from the early 19th century. They are made of freestone and are rectangular in shape, featuring moulded plinths and oversailing moulded lids. The sides of the chests have fielded panels. The western tomb has several inscriptions, with the earliest dating to 1822, including one on the south side that commemorates Aemelia Petty, who died in 1827. The eastern chest tomb commemorates Richard Weeks, who died in 1835, along with others.
