Description
This is an anonymous chest tomb located approximately 3 metres north of the aisle of the Church of St Mary in Upottery. It is likely from the 18th century and is made of hamstone. The tomb has a rectangular shape and sits on a moulded plinth. Its lid is soffit-moulded and features a low-pitched ridge at the top. The sides of the tomb are adorned with rectangular panels that have bead-moulded surrounds, with two panels on each long side and one on each end. There appears to be no inscription, although the west end is heavily overgrown.
