Description

Copper Castle is a former toll house dating from the early 19th century. It is said to have originally had a copper roof and served as the headquarters of the Paving Trust Fund. The building is constructed as a roughcast cottage with a rounded end facing the road. It features a castellated parapet and tall Gothic windows, along with a blank panel. The entrance includes a Gothic door with a rendered porch that has a quatrefoil window above it. There is also a lean-to addition on the east side.
