Description

The white headstone, located approximately 2 metres south-east of the chancel of the Church of St Winifred, is a Grade II listed structure dated 1782 in memory of Sarah White. Made of Beerstone ashlar, the upright, nowy-headed slab stands about 500 millimetres high. It features a moulded frame and a carved cherub's head at the top. The inscription is in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering, commemorating the death of Sarah White in 1782.
