Description
Johnson's Bakery is a house dating from the early 18th century, constructed of roughcast colour-washed rubble stone with a stone tiled valley roof and coped gables. It is three stories high and features a five-window range. The building has three drip courses and an ashlar parapet with six fielded panelled piers. Throughout the structure, there are recessed cyma-moulded three-light windows. The ground floor has a central bolection-moulded doorcase with a drip course above it. To the right, one ground floor window has been replaced by a 19th-century shop front, which includes a 10-pane window, pilasters, and a fascia, with a relieving arch above. The north return wall displays blind balustrading at the attic level. Numbers 90 to 112 (even) create an impressive group from the 17th to 18th centuries.
