Description

The Round House, located in the garage to the southeast of Obelisk House on Church Street, is a former lock-up dating from the 17th or 18th century. This single-storey circular building features rubble walls with an ashlar door surround and a slightly pointed domical roof made of old tiles over a brick dome vault, topped with a round stone cap. Although it has been partly incorporated into a modern garage, the structure appears to be largely intact and is similar to another building located at Heytesbury.
