Description

Puckshipton House is a house dating back to circa 1834, built on the site of a larger house that was demolished before 1790, and incorporating some older fabric. It is constructed of rendered brick with a slate roof. The main block comprises three bays, two storeys in height, with a lower two-storey wing to the right, which includes one bay of earlier construction and was extended in the mid-to-late 20th century. The central entrance features a glazed door with a fanlight above. A plat band runs horizontally across the facade, and there are tripartite sash windows – these are windows divided into three sections – with four panes in each sash above the entrance. The building has a parapet along the top, and a hipped roof with a gable stack (a chimney projecting from a gable) to the left, and a further stack at the rear where the wing joins the main block.
