Description

This is a pair of chest tombs located in the churchyard south-west of the tower of the Church of St. Mary. The tombs date from the 17th century and early 18th century. The northern tomb features a cyma table and base with scrolled end brackets, and the sides have incised panels adorned with scrolls, although the inscription is not legible. The southern tomb has a moulded table and base with recessed corner balusters, and it commemorates John Hinton, who died in 1792.
