Description
Tudor Thatch is a house dating from the 17th century, originally timber-framed and rendered with a thatched roof. The roof is half-hipped to the west, and it features a brick ridge stack and an added stack on the east. The south front has five windows arranged in a symmetrical range of 20th-century casements; this facade is rendered. However, the rear elevation reveals the original square timber framing, which incorporates ogee-curved angle braces. The window arrangement on the rear consists of two casement pairs above, a pair of casements, a triple casement, and a final pair of casements. The east gable also displays the exposed framing and similar braces.
