Description

Nos 31 to 34 on High Street are 17th century buildings that stand two stories high with an attic. They feature a five-gabled front made of vitreous brick, accented by red brick window surrounds and a distinctive wall pattern. The gables are tile hung with plain barge boards and small finials, topped by an old tile roof. The first floor and attic have three-light casement windows, with original lead lights present in the attic and in the first floor of No 32. The ground floor has been modernized for shops, and No 34 is color washed. These buildings, along with Nos 30 to 38, form a cohesive group.
