Description
The Georgian Restaurant is an 18th-century building located on the north side of High Street. It is a three-storey structure with tile hanging, featuring shaped tiles that extend up to the parapet, topped with a bold coved cornice. On the second floor, there are six early 19th-century casement windows, while the first floor has six 18th-century windows. The ground floor includes three modern segmental bow windows, each adorned with a plain frieze and a dentilled cornice. To the left of the centre, there is an early 19th-century door set in a moulded frame, which is sheltered by a Doric porch supported by slender pilasters and columns, complete with an entablature and a bracketed cornice. A narrow painted wood string runs across the front above the ground floor windows. At the back, there is an early 19th-century extension made of red brick, featuring a hipped old tile roof and wide flat eaves. A large central angular bay window is present on the western end at the first floor level. The buildings numbered 104 to 110 form a cohesive group.
