Description

Nos. 33 and 34 Calcut Street are two houses from the 18th century. They are constructed of limestone rubble, with No. 34 being painted and both featuring a stone slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high with an attic, each having two bays. No. 33 has a lean-to rear extension. Both houses have four-panelled doors on the sides. No. 33 features 4-pane sash windows, with 8-pane sashes on the ground floor, while No. 34 has slightly cambered arches above its windows. The ground floor of No. 34 has 20th-century plain glazed casements. There are two gabled dormers and two brick stacks located at the centre of the roof. These houses are included for their group value.
