Description
Danvers House is an early 18th-century house located on the east side of High Street in Cricklade. It is constructed of limestone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with three bays. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door topped by a radial fanlight and covered by a bracketed canopy. On either side of the door are flanking Venetian windows, which have 12-pane sashes that intersect at the head, all set under a three-centred arch with raised quoin jambs. There is a left-hand recessed door that leads to a passage at the rear. The first floor contains three additional 12-pane sashes, also with raised quoined jambs. The house is adorned with dentilled eaves and has two hipped casement dormers.
