Description

The Guy monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 3 meters north of the south Guy monument and north of the north aisle door of the Church of St. Bartholomew. It dates from the later 18th century and is nearly identical to the south Guy monument. The tomb is made of ashlar stone and features a large, projecting oval plaque on each side, which is flanked by fielded panels. It has rounded angles with a floral drop, and a moulded base and cornice that includes a pulvinated frieze.
