Description
Lypiatt Cottages is an 18th-century house constructed of rubble stone with a stone tiled roof. The building consists of two sections. The south range is two stories high and features a south end stack, flush quoins, and recessed ovolo-moulded windows. On the east side, there is an upper three-light window and a two-light window, while the lower section has a three-light window with a hoodmould and a blocked door. The south end includes a blank two-light window with a hoodmould, and the west side has an upper two-light window and a lower three-light window, both with hoodmoulds. The north range is one and a half stories tall, featuring a ridge stack and a stack at the north-east corner. The east side has a door with a timber lintel and a casement window on the ground floor, along with a plain two-light mullion window in the dormer gable above. There is a 19th-century outhouse extension to the north-east. The rear of the building has a dormer gable with a 20th-century casement window and three additional 20th-century casement windows below.
