Description

The Old Rectory is a mid-18th century building that features a brick front added to an older structure made of random rubble and flint, with a gable end to the southeast that has an illegible datestone. The building is two stories tall and has a plinth, a platband, and a plaster eaves cornice. It has a hipped roof covered with old tiles and a central modern chimney. The front has two sets of two glazing bar sash windows, which include stone keys and panelled shutters on the inside. There are cut brackets supporting a flat hood over a ledged door located in the garden wall to the right. To the right of the main building, there is a return section that is partly one and a half stories and partly two stories high. Additionally, there is a later mid-19th century brick-built coach house to the northwest, which has a slate roof and an altered window on the first floor. This coach house is connected to the main house by a rear wing and is enclosed by walls made of rubble, brick, and flint that are capped with tiles.
