Description

This is a column located on the north avenue of Wilbury House, approximately 260 metres from the north elevation. It was built in 1897 for Major A.G.W. Malet to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee. The column is made of Portland stone and features a small fluted design typical of the 18th century, with a cavetto capital. It stands on a high pedestal and supports an urn. On the south face, there is a shield in a recessed panel that includes an inscription.
