Description
This is a brick garden wall dating from the 18th or early 19th century. It links a row of cottages, including Merion Cottage, with West Amesbury House. The wall is approximately 2 metres high and built in a garden wall bond. It features an offset above a soldier course and has horizontal brick coping. A plinth with short pilaster buttresses is also present. A gate and a wall postbox, dated 1918 and made by W.T. Allen, are incorporated into the wall. The wall is listed primarily for its group value.
