BREMHILL BREMHILL VILLAGE ST 97 SE (south side) 8/22 Three monuments in churchyard about 7m north of churchyard cross GV II Three chest tombs, earlier C19. a) Carpenter monument about 7m north of cross, early C19, ashlar with baluster angles, sunk oval plaque each side flanked by urns in niches and cherub heads. Moulded base, cornice with fluted frieze and ridged capstone. Incription to -- Carpenter. b) E. Pinniger monument, about 2m north west of a), c1800, ashlar with square baluster angles, moulded base and cornice and two framed square plaques each side. Inscriptions to E. Pinniger died 1799 and C. Pinniger of Coniage died 1827. c) Gingell monument, about 4m east of a), c1845, pennant stone, baluster angles with husk drop and south side plaque flanked by two large angels holding a crown over. Inscription to G. Gingell of Naish House.
