Description
This is a mid-18th century farmhouse, with a reset datestone indicating 1749. It's constructed of painted rubble stone and has a concrete tiled roof, half-hipped at the gables and with a central ridge stack. The roof also features two hipped dormers. The front of the farmhouse has a three-window arrangement. The outer windows are recessed and have ovolo-moulded mullions; there’s a three-light window above and a four-light window with a hoodmould below. A projecting gabled centre section features bargeboards and long casement windows; a pair of windows are on the first floor, and a single window sits on each side of a six-panel door, with the datestone positioned above the door. The rear of the farmhouse has a pair of 12-pane sash windows on the ground floor to the right, and a lean-to extension to the left with a three-light mullion window. Attached to the north end of the farmhouse is a stable wing that extends east. This wing has a stone-tiled roof, hipped at the northwest angle.
