Description

The three gate piers at the entrance to Monkton House, located at Sadler's Mead, date from the mid-18th century. They are constructed from limestone ashlar and have a massive rectangular plan, standing approximately 3 meters high. The piers feature chamfered rustication and moulded cornices topped with flat blocks.
