Description
The Manor House is a house from the early 19th century, built on an earlier structure. It features a brick construction with a stucco front and slate roofs. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a front range that includes east end and rear stacks, a mansard roof, and a three-window stuccoed facade that has a band, minimal cornice, and a parapet. The windows have cambered heads with wedge keystones, and the lower windows are tripartite sashes with a 4-2-4 pane arrangement. The upper windows have been altered to include a nine-pane centre window and broader three-light casements with top-lights on the sides. There is a stuccoed enclosed porch featuring pilasters and a cornice, with a door that has a cambered-head overlight and a console keystone. The house has three dormers, with a pair of cambered-head casements in the centre and similar casements on each side, all set in lunette surrounds. The end walls are made of brick, and there is a parallel rear range, along with a later 19th-century brick rear wing. The Manor House was formerly known as Heddington House.
