Description

The Holford Arms is a 17th-century inn with alterations dating to the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. It is colourwashed externally and has a hipped roof of stone slate. The building follows a T-shaped plan, with a probable former staircase tower projecting from the north front. The north front is two-storey and three bays wide, featuring tripartite casement windows on the ground floor and 16-pane sash windows, with external shutters, to the upper floor and midway up the tower. A part-glazed door from the 20th century is located on the west face of the tower projection. The south front features two lateral stacks with set-offs. Inside, the ground floor room to the right contains large chamfered beams and an inglenook fireplace.
