Description
Hydrina is a farmhouse, now a house, built in the late 1830s. It has a rendered masonry wall and a slate roof that is gabled at both ends. The building features end stacks with rendered shafts and platbands. It is designed with a double-depth layout, two rooms wide, and stands two storeys tall. The front has three bays with a central doorway. The doorcase is adorned with reeded pilasters and panelled reveals, and it features a recessed early 19th-century door with glazed upper panels. A charming timber lattice porch in the Chinese Chippendale style has a flat roof and cornice. There are two 12-pane sash windows on the ground floor and three on the first floor. Access to the interior was not possible during the survey, but it may contain interesting features.
