Description
Lower Earlscourt Farmhouse is an early to mid-18th century building that stands two storeys high with an attic. It is constructed of red and black brick set on a rubble plinth, and features a coved plaster cornice. The roof is slate, topped with two brick chimneys at the ends. The facade includes two large modern dormers and five windows: two light casements on the first floor, and three original window openings on the ground floor, one of which is blind while the others have altered glazing. There is also a large modern four light casement with a concrete lintel. The ground floor windows and the central door feature segmental heads, while the modern glazed door lacks the former gabled hood. At the rear, there is a catslide roof. The east gable displays a corbelled flat bread oven and a small two-light casement, likely from the 19th century, with an old catch, positioned to the right in the catslide.
