Description

Chantry Cottage is a building that dates back to the 16th century, though it may be older, and has undergone significant alterations. It was recently two cottages that have been reconverted into one. The structure is two storeys high and features a roughcast exterior. The roof is modern and covered with tiles, and there are 19th-century brick chimneys at the gable ends.

On the first floor, there are three small 19th-century three-light casement windows, while the ground floor has two larger 19th-century three-light casement windows. The entrance features a large four-panel door that is positioned off-centre to the left, with a small square glazed opening to the right of the door. There is also a buttress on the left side of the building. Inside, there is a partition that separates the former hall corridors, which is a stud partition from the 16th or 17th century.
