Description
Liddington Manor is a mid-17th century small manor house that was restored in the 19th century. It has two storeys, an attic, and a cellar, constructed of rubble with a stone tile roof. The chimneys feature diagonal shafts made of modern brick. The south front displays three gables, and the windows are mullioned, with three lights in the attic, four lights on the first floor, and five lights on the ground floor, all featuring chamfered mullions and horizontal drips. There is a cross mullion window to the right and above an off-centre left door, which is framed by a 19th-century ashlar porch. The two gables to the west have offset and less regular window arrangements, likely originally hollow chamfer mullion and transom windows. The right-hand ground floor window is a notably tall five-light mullion and transom. The cellar has small two-light windows. Inside, there are two wide early to mid-17th century Tudor arch fireplaces with moulded surrounds, featuring urn-stops and panelled spandrels. A mid-19th century gallery staircase leads to a first-floor landing arcade.
