Description
Day House is a mid-19th century villa that stands two storeys tall and is built of coursed rubble. The building features three bays with mullion windows, while the ground floor showcases mullion and transom glazing bar sash windows. The outer windows have two lights, and the central window has three lights set in a two-storey square bay topped with a quatrefoil pierced parapet. The ground floor transom lights are adorned with decorative glazing. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, featuring two pairs of octagonal chimneys along the ridge. The entrance to the house is located on the side, and there is a 'T'-plan extension at the rear. To the south, there is a stable that includes a former thatched cottage made of rubble, which now has a tin roof and is not considered of special interest.
