Description

This is a chest tomb located about 3 metres south of the nave of the Church of Holy Trinity in Doynton. It dates from the mid-18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a flat top with a moulded edge and a moulded base. The ends are designed with reeded lyres, and there are oval cartouches surrounded by foliage on both the east and west sides, as well as on the north and south sides, each with a raised panel. The inscriptions on the tomb are very worn.
