Description

This chest tomb, located 6 yards southeast of the Rood Stairtower of Holy Trinity Church, dates from the early to mid-18th century. It is made of limestone ashlar and features illegible square inscribed panels, corner balusters, and a moulded plinth and cornice. The chest tombs represent a fine collection of local and classical tomb styles, significantly enhancing the church's setting.
