Description

The Jones chest tomb is located in the churchyard about 2 meters southwest of the tower of the Church of St. Mary of Malmesbury. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of limestone, featuring a sandstone inscription panel on the south side. The panel includes a putto and an hourglass in the spandrels. The tomb has a flat top with a moulded edge, plain quarter balusters, and a plinth. It commemorates Ann Jones, who died in 1813, along with other family members.
