Description
This chest tomb, located 4 yards southeast of the Rood Stairtower of Holy Trinity Church, dates from the early to mid 18th century. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features illegible inscribed panels with enriched borders, as well as enriched corner balusters. The tomb has a moulded plinth and cornice. It is part of a notable collection of local and classical tomb forms, which significantly enhance the setting of the church.
