Description
This is a chest tomb located about 11 metres south of the nave of the Church of Holy Trinity in Doynton. It dates from the mid-18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a flat top with a moulded edge and corner pilasters adorned with carved foliage. There are hexagonal raised panels on the east and west sides, and larger paired panels on the north and south sides, separated by a central pilaster that is also carved with foliage. The cornice adds to its decorative detail, although the inscriptions on the tomb are very worn.
