Description

Jasmine Cottage and the attached stable are a house dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with brick elements and features a pantiled roof with brick gable stacks. It has two storeys and two windows on the front. The ground floor includes two 2-light casement windows with brick segmental heads, a central plank door in a plain frame also with a brick segmental head, and two small 2-light casements located under the eaves. The attached stable or byre to the left has a plank door with strap hinges and a timber lintel. On the right side, there is a door, while the rear has a catslide roof down to ground floor level, a small 4-pane window, a former door that has been blocked with a window inserted, and two small 20th-century windows. The interior has not been inspected. At the time of the survey in September 1984, the building was noted to be in poor condition.
