Description

Osborne House is a late 18th and early 19th century house situated on the east side of The Green in Olveston. It is a rubble building, rendered and with a double Roman tile roof, featuring raised coped verges and gable stacks. The house is arranged in an L-shape and has a symmetrical facade of three windows, each with a 16-pane sash window and shutter boxes. A central, flat-roofed porch has panelled and glass outer and inner doors; the inner door has a fanlight with radial glazing bars. A parapet and coping complete the facade. The rear of the house includes a two-storey wing with a sash window on the first floor, a plate glass sash window on the ground floor to the left, and a two-storey 20th-century extension. The interior contains plain cornices, panelled doors, and panelling to the sides of the windows.
