Description
Morton Farmhouse is a late 17th century to early 18th century building located on the north side of Thornbury Gloucester Road. The farmhouse is rendered and features a double Roman tiled roof. It has two storeys and four windows, which include 3- and 4-light casements, with two of the windows having ovolo moulded mullions. The windows are adorned with decorative iron catches and rails.
At the center of the building is a two-storey porch with a hipped roof and a plank door. There are two rear wings, one of which was originally a dairy and has 1½ storeys. Inside, the layout was formerly a cross passage with rooms on either side, but it has been significantly altered. The interior includes ovolo moulded beams, and the room above the porch features four planks with moulded covered strips and strap hinges.
