Description
Pool Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 17th century, with an extension added in the 18th century. It is constructed of rubble and features a double Roman tiled roof with brick stacks. This gabled vernacular farmhouse has a three-room plan with a central service room and lobby entry, which has been converted to an L-plan due to the addition of a rear kitchen and cheese-loft wing. The building has two storeys and attics, with two steep stone gables. It comprises three bays, featuring 2- and 3-light 20th-century casement windows. There is a central gabled projecting porch, and to the right, there is a single storey and attic kitchen wing from the 18th century. Inside, the farmhouse has stop-chamfered beams, and the roof includes extended collar beam trusses.
