Description
Lower Buckover Farmhouse is a mid to late 18th century building constructed of brick, which is uncommon for the area. It features a modern tiled roof, raised quoins, and a coved, dentilled eaves cornice. The farmhouse has two storeys and attics, with hipped dormers. There are three windows, which are 2-light glazing bar sashes with a central wooden mullion, all set beneath flat arches with keystones. The central entrance consists of a 6-panel door topped with a flat hood supported by carved consoles. To the right, there is a one-storey lean-to. The interior is relatively plain, featuring fielded panel doors and a Chinese Chippendale open well staircase.
