Description
This is a mid-18th century chest tomb located about 2 metres south of the nave of the Church of Holy Trinity in Doynton. It is made of limestone and features a flat top with a moulded edge and a moulded base. The tomb has corner pilasters adorned with carved foliage. On the east side, there is a shield with a scrolled surround, while the west side has a plain raised cartouche with a round head. The north and south sides each display a large raised oval cartouche with panels of foliage and flowers on either side, along with a cornice and keystones. The inscriptions on the tomb are very worn.
