Description

The Woolway monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 13 metres north of the nave of the Church of St. James the Great. This 18th-century tomb is made of limestone and features a flat top with a moulded edge and lyre ends. It has inscription panels on all sides, with a central garlanded panel on the south side. The earliest decipherable date on the monument is 1767, although only the surname is legible.
